Liverpool have a familiar face to thank for their first half opening goal.
The Reds travelled to Fulham needing a win after a poor pair of results saw them cede the advantage in the title race and crash out of Europe.
They were under the cosh for much of the opening minutes, but on the half hour they were handed a lead against the run of play.
It came courtesy of the genius of Trent Alexander-Arnold, who stepped up to curl home a wonderful free kick from 25 yards out, leaving Bernd Leno with no chance.
It was his first start since February 10th, and echoed the freekick he scored against Fulham back in December.
It puts the defender behind only Steven Gerrard and Jamie Redknapp as Liverpool players who have scored the most goals from direct free-kicks.
Mind you, he’ll need to find another to ensure all three points, with Timothy Castagne having since fired home an equaliser for the Cottagers.
