This afternoon's MLS Cup final is off to a flying start as three goals have been scored in the opening 30 minutes in what is rapidly becoming an MLS classic.
The atmosphere was crackling from the first whistle in Carson, and the home side rode the vibes to an early two-goal lead.
The opener came from Joseph Paintsil, who collected a perfect Gastón Brugman through-ball before slotting home underneath Carlos Coronel. The speedy winger showed love to his injured teammate Riqui Puig amid the chaos as well.

But they weren't done there, as Dejan Joveljić collected the ball just four minutes later before going on a vintage solo run and slotting home the Galaxy's second on the afternoon in the bottom corner.
The Red Bulls seemed to be stuck back in New Jersey, because the game had seemingly started without them, but they began to recover as Sean Nealis bailed them out with a superb volley before the 30 minute mark.
Game on in Carson!
