Adrien Rabiot may now wear Marseille colours, but the France international didn’t hesitate to praise his former club PSG following their historic first UEFA Champions League title on Saturday night in Munich. Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Rabiot lauded the Parisians’ dominant 5-0 victory over Inter Milan, calling it a “great match” that “crowns a great season.”“There was no contest,” said Rabiot, who spent seven years in the PSG first team between 2012 and 2019. “Everyone here in Italy was wondering where the Inter side that eliminated Barça had gone. Maybe Lautaro (Martínez) wasn’t at his best, and only (Marcus) Thuram stood out. But PSG played an outstanding game.”

The midfielder—who joined Marseille last summer after a stint at Juventus—did not hold back in his criticism of Inter’s performance: “Losing 5-0 is humiliating. Inter didn’t play their final.”Despite his OM allegiance and a second-place Ligue 1 finish with the club this season, Rabiot is currently focused on international duty. The 29-year-old is preparing with Les Bleus at Clairefontaine ahead of Thursday’s Nations League semi-final against Spain.GFFN | George Boxall
