After the resounding 5-0 victory over Torino in their season opener, Inter are preparing to return to the pitch, once again at San Siro as part of their Serie A 2025/26 campaign. The Nerazzurri will face Udinese, led by Kosta Runjaic, a German coach in his second season in Italian football. The match is scheduled for Sunday, 31 August at 20:45 CEST, and it will be Inter's last game before the league break, with Serie A resuming on the weekend of 13-14 September.
Tomorrow marks the 105th Serie A meeting between Inter and Udinese, with Inter ahead on record with 55 wins, 27 draws, and 22 Udinese victories. In the last seven meetings at San Siro, Inter have won all seven matches, scoring 18 goals and conceding just three.
Udinese arrive at San Siro to play Inter after drawing 1-1 at home against Hellas Verona in the first matchday (with a goal from Kristensen). The Friulan side are coached by Kosta Runjaic, a German manager in his second season in Italian football. Udinese normally line up in a 3-5-2 formation, with their wing-backs' role particularly important for the team. They are a very physical side. Udinese strengthened their defence in the summer with the arrival of Nicolò Bertola from Spezia and Saba Goglichidze from Empoli, while in midfield, they added Polish player Jakub Piotrowski. The newest signing is striker Adam Buksa, brought in this week from the Danish team Midtjylland. Besides the league, Udinese have already played another official match this season, the round of 32 against Carrarese, which they won 2-0 (goals from Atta and Bravo)
