Strasbourg’s Andrew Omobamidele sustains ankle injury | OneFootball

RC Strasbourg Alsace’s Andrew Omobamidele (23) has suffered an ankle injury, according to his manager, Liam Rosenior.

Omobamidele spent the second half of last season on loan at Strasbourg from Nottingham Forest before making the move permanent this summer. The Republic of Ireland international has previously struggled with injury issues, including since arriving in Alsace. He suffered an ankle injury notably last season, which kept him sidelined for two months.

He has now suffered another ankle injury, during Sunday’s 1-0 win over FC Nantes. He sustained the injury just before half-time and was visibly emotional as he was forced to make his exit. Without delving into great detail about the injury, Rosenior confirmed post-match that his defender had sustained an ankle injury.

Lemarechal also injured

Felix Lemarechal also sustained an injury during the 1-0 win over Les Canaris, however, Rosenior was confident that the Frenchman’s injury was not too serious.
