Inter Milan head coach Simone Inzaghi remains calm despite the club’s lack of effort during the January transfer window.
While talking to Sky Sport ahead of the Sparta Prague clash, he offered an update on the Nerazzurri’s transfer plans via FCInterNews.
The Italian giants are on the verge of securing automatic Round of 16 qualification in the UEFA Champions League.
However, there’s no room for complacency as they’ve not sealed the deal yet.
Indeed, three points in Prague are imperative, and Inzaghi doesn’t want to make calculations before tomorrow’s game.
“As for the calculations, let’s wait until after this penultimate matchday,” he said.
“For us, it will be an important and challenging game against a team that started well in the competition. However, they lost their last few matches to stronger opponents.
“Still, it’s a Champions League game, and it won’t be easy, especially since their league is on break.
“They’ve played two good friendlies, and we’ve tried to prepare as well as possible in the 48 hours since the Empoli game.”
Despite losing Hakan Calhanoglu and Francesco Acerbi to injuries, Inter remain quiet regarding incoming transfers.
Meanwhile, Inzaghi insists he only focuses on recovering his injured stars as soon as possible.
Furthermore, he praises his squad for excellence.
“I have these players who are truly excellent, giving me their full commitment,” he said. “My hope is to quickly recover the unavailable ones.
“For this match, we’ve already brought back some players who were recently absent.
“We’ll aim to recover the others over the next ten to fifteen days.”
Inter are in talks with Dinamo Zagreb for Petar Sucic.
However, the prodigious midfielder will not join the Nerazzurri immediately even if the clubs find an agreement.
Indeed, he’d probably stay in his homeland on loan for the rest of the season.
