With one win in their last 18 Premier League matches, fair to say Sheffield United fans travelled to Tyneside more in hope than expectation.

Although even hope might be pushing it, with only three Premier League wins all season.

You have to feel at least some sympathy for the Sheffield United fans.

They watched on as their team led 1-0 and were much the better team in the first half, created a lot of very good chances, only to end up losing 5-1 and were relegated.

The fact they made Premier League history was little (ZERO!) consolation.
