Sevilla head coach García Pimienta has on Friday provided an update on the wellbeing of key attacker Isaac Romero.
Frontman Isaac, for his part, was forced to sit out this past Tuesday night, as his side returned to winning ways at the expense of Real Valladolid.
As much came owing to a sprained ankle which ultimately failed to recover in time for the clash.
Upon the 24-year-old being spotted back in training with his teammates on Thursday, the assumption was that he would be passed fit to feature in Sevilla’s next fixture, against Athletic Club on Sunday.
This, however, will not prove to be the case.
Speaking to the media this evening, the aforementioned García Pimienta was asked for the latest on Isaac’s recovery.
And the Spanish tactician, as cited by Mundo Deportivo, went on to explain:
“He’s not going to make it. He had a problem the day of the Valladolid game (before the match). It shouldn’t be a long-term injury. That’s how he feels. He should be fine in a few days. Isaac brings us a lot, he plays very well. It seems that we only see the dark side, but he gives us a lot.”
