According to a report from Foot Mercato, AS Saint-Étienne are considering a move for BK Häcken’s Zeidane Inoussa (22).
After winning promotion back to Ligue 1 via the playoffs last season, Saint-Étienne find themselves in a precarious situation. The club are sat in the relegation playoff spot having won five, drawn one, and lost 11.
There is still hope with half of their games left to play but it is obvious that Saint-Étienne will need to show improvements. The club who spent heavily compared to their rivals over the summer will reportedly try to bolster their options in the current transfer window.
Inoussa appears to be a clear target. The Swedish U21 has spent the past two seasons in his home country, first with IF Brommapojkarna and then with his current club Häcken. However, he made his professional debut in France with SM Caen.
Les Verts are not the only club looking at a player who has scored three in six during Häcken’s failed Europe Conference League qualification campaign, as Scottish team, Celtic are also reportedly interested.
