They needed to bounce back, and bounce back they did! The Rossonere came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Fiorentina at the Viola Park. Two substitutes, Arrigoni and Karczewska, came off the bench and made a huge impact on the game. After two straight defeats, a big performance, especially in the second half, on Women's Serie A matchday 11 was just what Bakker's side needed as they claimed a big point to add to their standings.
Courage, aggression and attacking fluidity were the aspects of the Rossonere's game that saw them regain control of a match that looked to have slipped out of their grasp early on after the hosts got out to a 2-0 lead with just 13 minutes gone. The changes made the difference and the attitude of the substitutes proved decisive. Arrigoni, who's had limited minutes this season, came on and scored after just 100 seconds to kick-start the fight-back. Late in the day, another youngster, Renzotti, won a penalty: Karczewska failed to convert but turned home the rebound to make it 2-2. AC Milan now have a week off before the derby on 8 December. Keep this spirit up, ragazze!

MATCH REPORT After an early Giuliani save to deny Severini (4'), Fiorentina took the lead through Janogy in the 8th minute, finishing off a swift counter-attack from an AC Milan corner. The goal galvanised the hosts, who kept up the pressure and doubled their advantage in the 13th minute. Ijeh turned the goal into her own net to make it 2-0. Things were looking tricky and Fiorentina continued to attack. To their credit, however, AC Milan did not collapse, kept believing and even looked to get forward, without really threatening Fiskerstrand's goal. The fight-back commenced at the start of the second half, with the entry of Arrigoni and Swaby in place of Rubio and Sorelli. Arrigoni it was who then scored the Rossonere's first just moments later.
A quick feint sand she beat Færge on the edge of the area before slotting the ball past an onrushing Fiskerstrand: 2-1 and game on! Three minutes later, Mascarello's free-kick found Piga but the defender couldn't get the right contact on the ball. AC Milan kept the pressure on and, in the 59th minute, Arrigoni came close to what would have been her and the Rossonere's second but Severini made a desperate block and turned it behind for a corner. In the 77th minute, Arrigoni again and then Dompig came close to equalising but were denied by the Viola defence. Renzotti then made her impact, first with an attempt into the side netting (79') and then by winning a penalty after being brought down by Eržen. Karczewska stepped up to the spot to take the penalty, which was saved but the Pole turned home on the rebound to make it 2-2. There was a late scare for the Rossonere by Soffia made the stop.
