Kostas Tsimikas is getting closer to securing a move to Roma.
Two nights ago, Football Italia exclusively reported on Liverpool’s openness to allowing the Greek full-back to leave, as he is no longer part of Arne Slot’s plans following the arrival of Milos Kerkez earlier this summer.
Liverpool had initially been reluctant to accept a loan deal for the 29-year-old, but have since opened up to the possibility of a temporary transfer, whether that be on a straight loan or with an option to buy included.

Football Italia understands that the deal is now well underway. As things stand, the Giallorossi are considering including the aforementioned option to buy.
Tsimikas has had several other offers at the end of the transfer window, but he has chosen the Giallorossi option. Negotiations have continued to progress since the parties started discussing the deal two nights ago.
Meanwhile, Roma are expected to part ways with Anass Salah-Eddine, who had been on the verge of joining Torino, but is now expected to join PSV Eindhoven in the Eredivisie instead.
