Newell’s Old Boy teenagers Tomas Perez and Mateo Silvetti could soon become new Inter Milan players.
According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, negotiations between the clubs are underway.
Indeed, Newell’s president, Ignacio Astore, landed in Milan yesterday to iron out the final details of Perez’s transfer.
The 19-year-old midfielder is one step away from signing a contract at the San Siro.
However, negotiations for Silvetti aren’t going smoothly, considering the Argentines are asking for €10 million to sanction a deal.
That’s only a setback, with Inter confident of finding common ground with Astore soon.
Both players could pen long-term contacts in the coming days.
However, Inter could allow them to stay in their homeland for the rest of the season before moving to Italy.
Inter’s idea is to include them in the under-construction U-23 squad in the summer.
Loaning them out to other Italian clubs to gain experience is another option for the Nerazzurri.
Indeed, Perez could join Como on a short-term basis, perhaps serving as a catalyst for inevitable negotiations for Nico Paz.
Paz is Beppe Marotta’s primary target for the summer.
Therefore, the Serie A giants are keen to build a strong relationship with Como.
