Report: Shomurodov set to leave Roma for Basaksehir — deal nearing completion | OneFootball

Eldor Shomurodov is on the verge of completing a permanent transfer from Roma to İstanbul Basaksehir, marking the end of his spell in the Italian capital.

According to Turkish journalist Salim Manav of Ajansspor, the Süper Lig side has reached a preliminary agreement with both Roma and the Uzbek striker. With all parties aligned, the transfer is reportedly in its final stages.

Shomurodov still has one year remaining on his contract with the capital club. However, he’s been linked with a transfer exit since the end of last season.

The forward’s impending departure comes after a season in which he made 37 appearances for the Giallorossi, recording 7 goals and 5 assists across all competitions.

Roma are continuing their efforts to streamline the squad and raise funds ahead of the UEFA financial compliance deadline — and Shomurodov’s exit will contribute to that objective.
