Inter Milan reportedly no longer consider signing Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman to be a priority this summer.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter have been chasing Ademola Lookman for almost five weeks now.
The transfer saga between the Nerazzurri, the Nigerian international, and Atalanta has become the transfer soap opera of the summer in Serie A.
Inter Have made two offers for Lookman. First they bid €40 million. Then, they increased their offer to €45 million including add-ons.
And in the meantime, Lookman has tried to force Atalanta’s hand on a move.
The 27-year-old has publicly demanded a transfer. He has also been no-showing training for Atalanta since the start of August.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Inter have gradually started to re-think their approach as the end of the transfer window comes into view.
Atalanta have not softened their stance. This has made Inter look elsewhere.
And furthermore, the Corriere report, Inter have also been very happy with the performances of strikers Ange-Yoan Bonny and Francesco Pio Esposito in preseason.
Therefore, the newspaper anticipate, Inter don’t necessarily see a big attacking signing as a target.
By contrast, the Nerazzurri are keen to sign a midfielder. Roma’s Manu Kone has emerged as a major target in this respect.
