The young striker explains that “I chose it because my neighbourhood in Castellammare is called Ciceron 94,” he said.

“It’s a tribute to the neighbourhood. And to the little football pitch where my brothers and I grew up.”

“It all started there,” Pio Esposito looked back.

Then, Pio Esposito also looked back on his first every goal for Inter, against River Plate at the Club World Cup. The 20-year-old capped off an outstanding breakout performance.

“I still have a hard time realizing that it happened,” he admitted. “It’s special for me.”

Pio Esposito called it “an incredible feeling.”

“If you look to where I’m celebrating after the goal, there’s a moment where I’m completely lost,” the 20-year-old added.

“That shows how powerful it was. For me, coming back to Inter was a dream come true.”
