Report: Chelsea alert to situation surrounding Liverpool star, £50m asking price set | OneFootball

Chelsea are thought to be one of the clubs keeping an eye on the situation surrounding Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott according to reports.

The Blues are once again set to be busy this summer and have already completed the signing of Liam Delap, whilst they are thought to be close to agreeing a deal for Jamie Gittens.

Chelsea face a critical window and are also looking to bring in a versatile forward and centre back to strengthen Enzo Maresca’s squad ahead of next season.

Chelsea keeping an eye on Harvey Elliott situation

Chelsea are always on the lookout for opportunities in the market, and aren’t afraid to splash big money on young talents.

Caught Offside have reported the Blues are one of the clubs on alert to the situation surrounding Elliott, who could be open to leaving Anfield.

The report states Liverpool would be expected to ask for as much as £50m for the England under-21 international, with Brighton said to have shown the strongest interest so far.

Caught Offside add Newcastle, Aston Villa and Borussia Dortmund have also shown interest, and it could be a situation to watch through the summer.

Elliott was part of the Liverpool squad which won the Premier League title last season, although he has struggled to establish himself as a first team regular under Arne Slot.

The 22-year-old made 18 Premier League appearances last season, and scored one goal and registered two assists.

Chelsea in talks for Joao Pedro

Whilst the Blues might be keeping an eye on the situation surrounding Elliott, they are pressing ahead with plans to sign Joao Pedro, with Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix set to leave.
