The official in-house media channel at La Liga giants Real Madrid have this week taken fresh aim at those in a position of power in Spanish football.

This comes amid the ongoing saga surrounding Los Blancos’ efforts to have their opening league fixture of the new campaign postponed.

Real Madrid last month requested for their upcoming meeting with Osasuna on August 20th to be moved to October.

As much comes with Xabi Alonso’s squad still recovering from their exploits at the newly-formatted Club World Cup.

Despite Osasuna’s cooperation, the plea was rejected by La Liga and the RFEF, adamant that Real Madrid should not be afforded any sort of special treatment despite their reduced summer break.

And as alluded to above, on Tuesday, the ever-vocal RMTV have had their say on the matter.

In a lengthy statement relaid by Mundo Deportivo, Los Merengues’ media channel took firm aim at those at the top of the Spanish football pyramid, as follows:

“On July 9, 2025, José Alberto Peláez, Sole Competition Judge, received a request for the postponement of a First Division match. Urgent. Necessary. It wasn’t a whim: it was to prevent players who had just arrived from the Club World Cup from playing without the minimum rest.

“The response arrived on July 31st. Twenty-two days later. Enough time to close the office, go on vacation, and leave the matter gathering dust. The urgency… ignored. Common sense… buried. What he signed wasn’t a resolution: it was a slam of the door. A slam of the door on sports medicine. On basic logic. On the integrity of competition.

“He takes refuge in the rules. Always the rules. But we all know that when it’s convenient, they are interpreted, adapted, bent. Not this time. This time, it was applied like a hammer. And the club hit hardest was, objectively, Real Madrid. Above Peláez, in the control tower, is Rafael Louzán Abal, the Titanic violinist who smiles as the ship sinks. And above all, Javier Tebas Medrano, president of LaLiga, vice president of the Federation… and with a well-known animosity toward Real Madrid.

“He’s not just another passenger: he’s the captain of the ship. He sets the course. He decides the objective. And he points out where to shoot. Let’s not forget that, before Peláez issued his decision, Tebas had already made public statements saying that the match shouldn’t be postponed and openly criticizing Real Madrid.

“Does anyone really believe that a judge who reports to the Federation, whose vice president has already publicly drawn the line, can decide without that shadow over his desk? In any serious system, such behavior would be unacceptable, because it’s not enough for a judge to be impartial: he must also appear to be so. And the same—or even more—should be required of a vice president of the Federation, who should not publicly anticipate the meaning of a ruling or attack one of the parties. Because when he does so, he not only taints the appearance of the judge’s impartiality: he taints the entire institution.

“This isn’t independence. This is manipulation. The 2025/26 La Liga season starts tainted, altered, manipulated. A team starts with a physical and tactical disadvantage by choice, not by chance.”
