Thibaut Courtois’ absence from the Belgian national team in the past year or so has been well documented.
But after a year and a half, Courtois could finally be set for a much-awaited return to the Belgian setup, much thanks to new coach Rudi Garcia.
Despite being regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in world football, Courtois has been absent from the national team due to his earlier standoff with previous coach Domenico Tedesco.
However, Belgium parted ways with Tedesco earlier in the year, bringing in Rudi Garcia as a direct replacement, sparking speculation that Courtois could return to the squad.
According to a recent report from MARCA, Courtois is all set to return to the Belgium national team. In fact, it is only a matter of time before we see the Real Madrid star back in Red Devils’ uniform.

That is because Garcia is planning to call up Courtois for the upcoming international break in March.
Courtois’ return to the national team fold could be timely, with the 2026 FIFA World Cup just a year away.
Although Belgium has no shortage of talented goalkeepers, having someone of Courtois’ calibre could significantly bolster the team’s morale.
Courtois, for his part, has recently confirmed that he would be open to returning the Belgium team, and it now appears that a comeback is on the horizon.
In the meantime, though, Courtois’ focus will be on Real Madrid as he looks to help Los Blancos steer through a difficult period ahead.
