Real Madrid star earns place in Club World Cup Team of the Group Stage | OneFootball

A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid has been included in the statistical Team of the Group Stage at the Club World Cup.

The player in question? Gonzalo García.

Frontman Gonzalo has of course enjoyed something of a coming of age at the Club World Cup to date.

Thrust into a prominent role owing to the absence of the unwell Kylian Mbappé, the youngster responded in hugely impressive fashion.

After netting Real Madrid’s only goal against Al-Hilal, the 21-year-old laid on an assist in a 3-1 victory over Pachuca, too.

And Gonzalo was back at it again in the early hours of Friday, in finding the net once more against RB Salzburg.

In turn, it should not come as a major surprise to hear of the Spaniard earning for himself a place in the statistical Team of the Group Stage at the CWC.
