Saudi Arabia continues to eye top footballers from Europe and heading into the summer, a number of Real Madrid players appear to be on their radars.
While their interest in Vinicius Jr. is no secret, departing legends Luka Modric and Lucas Vazquez are also on their agenda.
Now, it appears that Antonio Rudiger also happens to have attracted the Middle Eastern nation’s interest.
Indeed, Saudi Arabia are looking at the veteran German defender as they continue to scour for high-profile signings from Europe.
On top of that, MARCA now reports that Rudiger was recently spotted dining with Fernando Hierro, current sporting director of Al Nassr, and Fran Porras, a close associate of the ex-Real Madrid icon and a key figure during his time with the Spanish national team.
The group, which also included agents, shared a meal, contributing to growing rumours that Rudiger could head to the Saudi league after the Club World Cup in the summer.
🤔🤔–
The Real Madrid centre-back was already linked with a move to Saudi Arabia last summer, particularly to Al Ittihad, but now Al Nassr seem to be showing an interest.
For now, Rudiger’s priority is to recover fully from recent knee surgery and take part in the Club World Cup.
The defender is tipped to return in time for the Merengues’ second group fixture against CF Pachuca and feature in the tournament from thereon.
After that, his future remains open. At Valdebebas, the stance is clear: the decision lies with Rudiger.
The German ace’s contract runs until 30 June 2026, and if he chooses to leave and pursue a new chapter in Saudi Arabia, Real Madrid would not oppose it – provided that a transfer fee is involved. His departure would require the club to find a replacement at centre-back.
