Serie A side Como have opened talks with Real Madrid to buy out all the transfer clauses related to 20-year-old midfielder Nico Paz, a report has claimed.

Paz, a product of Madrid's academy, made the €6m (£5.1m) switch to Como in the summer and has established himself as one of the top youngsters in Serie A, racking up five goals and four assists in a run of form which earned him a maiden call-up to the Argentina national team last October.

Madrid hold a buy-back clause to re-sign Paz, while they also have the option to match any bid received for the 20-year-old and are entitled to a percentage of any future transfer, but Gianluca Di Marzio states Como are looking to change that.

Como, backed by the richest owners in Italy, are looking to strike a deal with Madrid to do away with all their clauses related to Paz. It is said they are prepared to pay up to €20m (£16.9m) to remove Madrid's control over Paz's future.

Convincing Madrid to accept their offer could be tough, however, as manager Carlo Ancelotti has already spoken openly about his interest in Paz. He described the midfielder as "the future of Real Madrid" and even referred to his move to Como as "a year of training outside of the club".

Cesc Fabregas, Como manager, has acknowledged the existence of Madrid's buy-back clause but recently suggested the Italian outfit have far more control over the situation than that may suggest.

"There's a specific buy-back clause for Nico Paz for Real Madrid, but he's a Como player," Fabregas said. "If Como have no plans to sell Nico, it won't happen. We have an agreement with Nico. It's impossible for us to think about selling Nico Paz."
