La Liga outfit Real Betis are closing on the signature of a departing member of the defensive ranks at English side Leeds United.
That’s according to El Chiringuito TV, who point towards Junior Firpo as the player in question.
Full-back Firpo is for his part fresh off a fine individual campaign in 2024/25.
En route to Leeds booking their spot back in the Premier League, the 28-year-old played a starring role, racking up a head-turning four goals and 10 assists from his berth at left-back.
Firpo’s contract terms at Elland Road, though, are due to come to a close at the end of the month.
And if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, then the Dominican Republic international appears to have set his sights firmly on a return to La Liga.
As per a report from El Chiringuito TV, Firpo is close to a reunion with former employers Real Betis:
‘Betis are making progress in the arrival of Junior Firpo. The club have offered the Dominican a three-year contract, and the parties are in negotiations.’
