PSG Need to Finalize Key Sale Before Targeting Manchester United Winger, Report Says | OneFootball

The rumor about Jadon Sancho joining Paris Saint-Germain is still going strong, but one report suggests that the French giants might need to make a few more moves for the Englishman to actually arrive.

According to Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna, who reported this week, PSG has taken a step regarding Sancho’s wages. Aouna mentioned that Sancho has long been interested in joining PSG, and the reigning Ligue 1 champions have reportedly offered him a salary of €17 million per year before taxes.

However, on Wednesday, Jason Burt from The Telegraph reported that PSG aren’t expected to pursue Sancho since he’s not part of their current plans. Meanwhile, Manchester United is still open to selling him.

Le Parisien’s Marc Mechenoua provided new information on this file, revealing that the reigning Ligue 1 champions are still keen on the Manchester United standout.

Per Mechenoua, PSG have been in touch with Sancho’s representatives since the beginning of summer but has not made an offer to Manchester United yet. Before pursuing Sancho, PSG plan to sell Manuel Ugarte first and his agent, Jorge Mendes, is handling the negotiations, and things are moving along gradually.

Sancho spent the latter part of the 2023-24 season on loan at Borussia Dortmund, where he was instrumental in their journey to the UEFA Champions League final.

Last season, the 24-year-old played in 24 matches for  Manchester United and Dortmund, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
