Just one year after his arrival, Milan Škriniar could leave Paris Saint-Germain before the closure of the transfer window in just four days. The former Inter Milan centre-back, recruited on a free transfer before the appointment of Luis Enrique as manager, clearly doesn’t feature in the Spaniard’s plans, as evidenced by the centre-back’s absence from the matchday squad to face Montpellier HSC over the weekend.
Fabrizio Romano has indicated that PSG are ready to give the green light to a deal with Al Nassr. It is therefore now up to the player to decide. Whilst L’Équipe understands that a move to the Saudi Arabian club is perhaps not so advanced, the discussions themselves are real, with the Slovakia international also garnering interest from Europe.
With a very real possibility of Škriniar leaving Les Parisiens in the coming days, the Ligue 1 side are lining up a replacement – Benfica’s Tomas Araujo (22). He is one of many defenders that PSG have enquired about as they search the market for a replacement. Araujo was also the subject of interest from Crystal Palace earlier this summer. The Premier League side even saw a €20m offer rejected.
