Thomas Frank has welcomed interest from Manchester United and Chelsea and confirmed he would consider a move away from Brentford.

In a recent development, Frank has revealed that he would contemplate a job switch "if a big club comes knocking".

It comes after the Bees boss was rumoured as a replacement for struggling manager Erik ten Hag at United, with a move to Stamford Bridge also said to be on the cards. The latter now looks more likely, as Chelsea revealed the shock news to part ways with Mauricio Pochettino on Tuesday.

Frank had previously denied all interest in a move of any sort, but has now admitted he could not rule out departing for a top side.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Frank explained: "If a big club one day comes to knock on my door, then I need to consider it.

"It's not something I'm hunting. I could stay in Brentford for, well, forever is probably a crazily long time but I could stay here for a further sustained period. We all have an ego. Mine's not the biggest but it's not the smallest and it's always the ego that gets in the way of good performances and life.

"Also, I'm realistic in many ways. I'm enjoying my life here. This is probably the perfect football life, working in a good club in London, in the best league in the world with good players, we can compete."

Frank's decision may also be affected by news that Ivan Toney is set to depart the club this summer, prompting a potential squad rebuild.

Brentford were tipped for relegation this season after struggling to make an impact with their star striker suspended. They managed to finish in 16th place, ahead of Nottingham Forest, symbolising a dip in form after their impressive ninth-placed finish the season prior.

Alongside Frank, Chelsea are reported to be considering the likes of Kieran McKenna, Sebastian Hoeness and even Burnley boss Vincent Kompany, although the latter appears to be in talks with Bayern Munich.
