Manchester City has heaped praise on four Manchester United attackers ahead of the FA Cup final at the Wembley Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Manchester rivals will meet in the FA Cup final for the second season running. United will be aiming to come on top, having been on the losing side last term.

Ahead of the Wembley showdown, Guardiola has praised the front four of Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund and Bruno Fernandes.

The Spanish tactician added that ‘everything happens’ when Fernandes has the ball at his feet and his influence on the team is ‘outstanding’ and ‘unbelievable’.

He told Mancity.com: “They have actions from brilliant players up front, Garnacho, Rashford, Hojlund or of course Bruno Fernandes – when he has the ball, everything happens.”

“Bruno’s influence is outstanding. Unbelievable. Today saw a few games, the last games and I said: ‘this guy’s creativity is one of the best I’ve ever seen’.”

Fernandes has been United’s best creative player since his arrival from Sporting in 2020.

The Portuguese has 27 goal contributions in the current campaign, eight more than Hojlund.

Hence, it is unsurprising that Guardiola has been impressed by his performances this term.

Fernandes will have a key role to play in the FA Cup final, but United’s chances of beating the Cityzens will depend on whether the rest of the attack can co-ordinate.

Quite often this season, we have seen Fernandes creating chances for his teammates, but he has been let down by the poor finishing from Rashford among others.

The Red Devils will be aiming to lift their 13th FA Cup title tomorrow. A victory would also guarantee them a spot in next season’s Europa League group stage.
