Germany have discovered who they will face in the last 16 at EURO 2024, Portugal will start the knockout rounds in Frankfurt, and Ecuador returned to winning ways.

Ecuador earned a 3-1 win over Jamaica in their second Copa America fixture at the Allegiant Stadium, near Las Vegas, with Eintracht defender Willian Pacho playing the full 90 minutes. The result means Jamaica have been knocked out, while Ecuador need at least a point against Mexico in their final group match in order to advance to the quarter-finals. Meanwhile, Robin Koch and Germany will face Denmark, who finished as runners-up in Group C, in the round of 16 at UEFA EURO 2024. The tournament is currently on the first of two rest days before the start of the knockout rounds. On Monday, Frankfurt will host its last EURO 2024 fixture when Portugal take on Slovakia at 21:00 CEST. That will mean record-breaker Cristiano Ronaldo will be in the city, with the Portuguese attacker becoming the first player to participate at six continental showdowns, having first featured at EURO 2004, while he also won the title in 2016. Ronaldo also made his 50th appearance at either a European Championship or World Cup in his nation's game against Georgia on Wednesday.
