El Hadji Malick Diouf is now officially a West Ham United player. Arriving from Slavia Prague, the Senegalese defender signed with the Hammers this Tuesday, July 15, 2025, on a multi-year contract and will wear the number 12 shirt.

The highly anticipated transfer to the Hammers is now official. After several weeks of intense negotiations, the London club beat out numerous interested European teams to secure the permanent signing of El Hadji Malick Diouf. West Ham acquired the defender for a fee of €25 million (including bonuses), setting a record sale for Slavia Prague.

“West Ham United is pleased to announce the signing of Senegal international El Hadji Malick Diouf. The 20-year-old left-back joins the Hammers from Slavia Prague, where he played a decisive role in last season's Czech league title triumph. Diouf has signed a long-term contract and will wear the number 12 shirt,” the English club announced.

At just 20 years old, El Hadji Malick Diouf is set to discover English Premier League football with the Hammers. He is expected to travel this week to Germany, where he will join the Irons' preseason training camp under head coach Graham Potter.
