Official: Bielefeld extend contract of shot-stopper Kersken

After returning to the 2.Bundesliga with a booming 5-1 win over Düsseldorf yesterday, more good news has graced Arminia Bielefeld.
The club have announced that first-choice goalkeeper Jonas Kersken has officially extended his contract for the long term.
The East Westphalians have not disclosed the exact details or dates of the new contract for the 24-year-old shot-stopper.
Kersken initially moved to Bielefeld on loan from Borussia Mönchengladbach's reserve team in the summer of 2023.
A year later, after a string of impressive performances, and was signed permanently from Die Fohlen for €300,000.
"Jonas has developed into a true leader on and off the pitch over the past two years and has taken on responsibility from day one.
"He has continuously worked on himself, continually developed, and with many strong performances has been an important pillar.
"He helped guarantee promotion to the 2.Bundesliga and a place in the DFB Cup final ," said Sporting Director Michael Mutzel.
