Odsonne Édouard completes Lens medical as Crystal Palace exit nears | OneFootball

According to a report from Foot Mercato, Odsonne Édouard (27) is set to join RC Lens from Crystal Palace in a €3.7m transfer. The striker has completed his medical and will imminently sign a contract lasting until 2028, and has reportedly made huge financial sacrifices to facilitate a return to Ligue 1.

Édouard started his career in the Paris Saint-Germain academy before spending the 2016/17 season on loan at Toulouse FC. He then spent the 2017/18 campaign on loan at Celtic, before making his move to the Scottish club permanent the following summer.

In 2021, Edouard joined Crystal Palace. This summer, the striker has been earmarked for a departure and had looked close to joining OGC Nice, but an agreement between the two clubs stalled. Lens have been in the market for attacking reinforcements, especially after their pursuit of AJ Auxerre forward Lassine Sinayoko (25) collapsed.
