Former Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira is reportedly on the radar of Nottingham Forest.

In recent days, much has been written about United academy graduate Alvaro Carreras’ rise to prominence at Benfica. The left-back’s form has also impressed Real Madrid, who are pushing to secure his services this summer.

Carreras is not the only academy product to have benefitted from parting ways with the Red Devils in recent times.

Pereira has established himself as one of Marco Silva’s most important players at Fulham, who face an uphill battle to keep him at Craven Cottage for another season.

According to TNT Sports, Forest are interested in signing the Brazilian.

The Nottingham outfit have secured European football for next campaign and remain in the race for the Champions League spots, currently sitting in the seventh position in the Premier League table.

The Reds have been very active in the transfer market ever since their promotion and are expected to be ambitious once again.

One of their targets is understood to be Pereira, who has impressed with his composure with the ball at his feet and tenacity. The 29-year-old midfielder has notched six assists in the league this term.

Olympique de Marseille are also reported to be following Pereira as Roberto De Zerbi is his huge admirer.

The outlet claim that Fulham rejected five offers for their technically gifted midfielder last year. Three proposals were from Marseille and two from Forest.

Marseille have qualified for the Champions League and Pereira is thought to be keen on playing in the competition. Further, he would reunite with his former United teammate, Mason Greenwood, should he decide to move to the south of France.

The Brazil international left United for Fulham in a deal worth around £10 million in the summer of 2022 and has only a year remaining on his contract in London, although the Cottagers have an option to extend it by a year.
