Alvaro Morata has been heavily linked with a move to AC Milan in the last 24 hours, with the Rossoneri moving on from Joshua Zirkzee. In an interview earlier today, the striker was asked about his future and refused to rule out anything.

Morata scored 21 goals and assisted an additional five for Atletico Madrid this past season, showcasing his importance once again. He has also done well with Spain at the Euros, and Milan are now eyeing up his €13m release clause.

The main obstacle, however, is convincing the player to leave the Spanish side. In an interview with Deportes Cuatro earlier today, as transcribed by MilanEye, Morata was asked about his future with Atleti and refused to rule out a summer move.

“My future? Now I’m focused on the Euros, what I wanted was to be calm, but in football nothing is certain, and we will have to see how everything ends, and we will see what happens.

“My Instagram post about staying at Atletico? It’s my opinion, but there are times when in Spain it’s complicated for me, I just want this to end in the best possible way, because it could be my last year in the national team.

“Am I going to decide my future after the Euros? It depends on how everything goes in the end, it’s difficult to make such a decision, but I think it’s also a possibility,” he stated.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is working hard to convince the Spaniard and it remains to be seen what the final answer will be. Having missed out on Joshua Zirkzee, now set to join Man Utd, the Rossoneri need to secure a striker soon.
