Although Marcus Rashford has not yet officially registered with Barcelona, he has already given a glimpse that he will be one of the project of the new season and that he will also offer something positive.
Marcus Rashford's initiation into life at Barcelona has come complete with a locker-room nickname bestowed by his new teammates. The Manchester United loanee made his competitive debut for the club as a second-half substitute in their 3-0 season-opening victory over Mallorca.
In a recent interview, the 27-year-old English forward shared a lighthearted detail about his integration process, revealing the affectionate term his colleagues have adopted for him. When asked about adapting to the Spanish language and culture, Rashford disclosed that his teammates have taken to calling him by a particular Catalan word during moments of camaraderie in the dressing room.
“When they're having fun among themselves inside the locker room, they call me 'chuche'... I don't know what it means, but it's funny when they say it,”Rashford revealed. The term translates to "sweetie" or "candy" in English, suggesting the players have already developed a fondness for their new attacking addition.
