Will star striker make his first start?
Manchester United travel to the capital to face Fulham as they chase their first win of the Premier League season.
The Red Devils were narrowly defeated 1-0 by Arsenal at Old Trafford in their opening game of the campaign, with Riccardo Calafiori nodding home on the goal-line to net what proved to be the winner on 13 minutes.
Ruben Amorim’s side can take plenty of heart from their performance, however, as their back three of Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Luke Shaw kept Arsenal’s superstar attacking trident of Gabriel Martinelli, Viktor Gyokeres, and Bukayo Saka quiet, while in attack, the new-look trio of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko got its first run-out in the second half when the Slovenian striker made a cameo off the bench.
The big talking point at Craven Cottage is whether Sesko will be up top for United from the off and make his first start in the famous red shirt.
Mason Mount played as the left-sided No10 against the Gunners and impressed, with Cunha shifted to playing as the centre-forward, and Mbeumo tucked in behind his fellow new recruit on the right.
It meant that captain Bruno Fernandes lined up alongside Casemiro in a midfield double pivot.
At wing-back, Patrick Dorgu and Diogo Dalot were on the left and right respectively, but Amad Diallo was the first substitute that Amorim turned to at Old Trafford last weekend, replacing Dalot on the right flank.
The other big points for debate are whether Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund feature in the matchday squad, after both were left out of the game against Arsenal.
Amorim insisted before and after the game that Onana had “recovered” from his pre-season injury, but the Cameroonian shot-stopper had trained just three times before the season started, and as such, was left out in favour of Altay Bayindir.
As for Hojlund, reports claim that United want rid of the Danish striker, who has suitors from Germany and Italy. Hojlund was also omitted from the 20-man squad last Sunday.
On the injury front, it seems unlikely that Noussair Mazraoui will have fully recovered from his thigh injury to play in west London, while Lisandro Martinez continues his comeback trail from an ACL tear.
Predicted Man Utd XI (3-4-2-1): Onana; Yoro, de Ligt, Shaw; Dalot, Casemiro, Fernandes, Dorgu; Mbeumo, Cunha; Sesko
Doubt: Mazraoui
