Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti fired a warning shot at Inter Milan amid speculation linking them with Como starlet Nico Paz.

Amid his latest interview with Radio Anch’io lo Sport via FCInterNews, Ancelotti confirmed Los Blancos could exercise a buyback clause in Paz’s deal.

Despite his burgeoning talent, Nico Paz had failed to secure regular first-team football at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Indeed, stiff competition for places forced him to leave his boyhood club in the summer.

Como manager Cesc Fabregas spotted his potential and forked out a meager €6 million to lure him to Serie A.

Though a low profile, the move to Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia has launched the 20-year-old to stardom.

One of Fabregas’ headline performers this season, Paz has established himself as Como’s driving force in Serie A.

He has tallied two goals and four assists in Italy’s top flight, earning the tag of a ‘generational talent.’

Meanwhile, Beppe Marotta sees the Argentine whizz-kid as an investment for the future.

However, the Inter Milan president must overcome stern competition from Real Madrid to sign one of Serie A’s brightest talents.

Carlo Ancelotti Acknowledges Real Madrid Interest in Inter Milan Target Nico Paz

Los Blancos included a buyback clause in Paz’s transfer to Como.

Therefore, they’d have the upper hand on Inter should they decide to re-sign the prodigious forward.

“Paz is a player we follow closely,” Ancelotti said. “He is very skilled and a great talent.

“This developmental season away from Real is doing him a lot of good.

“We believe he is a player who could be the future of Real Madrid.”

The reigning UEFA Champions League and La Liga title holders would need to allocate only €12m to bring Paz back.

Looking at their transfer dealings over the years, that’s a pocket change.

Therefore, Inter’s chances of capturing Paz’s signature have just plummeted.
