Serie A side Milan are working to sign Liverpool’s Joe Gomez and the player has expressed an interest in joining the Italian side.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Manuel Akanji has rejected a move to the Rossoneri, but things are looking promising on the Gomez front.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Milan are working to sign a new defender this summer and Gomez is interested in a switch.

He is not pushing for a move but there is an offer on the table from Milan, who are yet to receive a positive response from Akanji.

The move for Gomez has been described as a hot prospect, even if his salary demands could prove to be an issue. There is little time left in the window and Milan have their work cut out, if they want to land the Englishman, who is falling out of game time at Liverpool.
