For Chivas Femenil to face the closing of the Clausura 2024 in the best possible way, the Women's Sporting Directorate decided that Joaquín Moreno Ruíz, a coach with extensive experience in the Cantera Rojiblanca, will take the reins of the team as of today.

‘El Quino’ as he is known, has been linked to Club Guadalajara all his life, since he arrived at the age of 9 to begin his training process as a player. His experience on the bench began in 2005 and since then he has had a successful stint in each of the youth categories. Moreno has also participated as an assistant coach with the Men's First Team on different occasions.

He was currently serving as assistant coach of the U18 boys' team, which by the way is the undisputed leader of its category.

Joaquín knows the philosophy and values of the institution to perfection, in addition to being a winner, as his track record includes the U-20 Championships that Chivas won in CL13 and AP18, in addition to the U-15 Bicampeonato in 2013. He also has international titles, having won several of the most prestigious youth tournaments in the world, such as the Gothia Cup and the Dana Cup.

Moreno will lead his first practice as Chivas Femenil coach this afternoon at the Akron Stadium, where he will begin preparing for this Sunday's match against Cruz Azul, corresponding to Day 16 of the CL 2024.
