May 4 is a very special day in the heart of the Chiva Nation because on a day like today but in 1931, Don Tomás Balcázar was born in the Perla Tapatía. He was an extraordinary striker who engraved his name with golden letters in the history of Guadalajara.

However, that was not the only thing that made him stand out in the history of the Chiverío, since at the end of his career as a player, he joined Javier de la Torre's coaching staff. As if that wasn't enough, he also had a second stint on the Rebaño's bench, as in the 86-87 season he was Alberto Guerra's assistant.
