France qualified for the quarter-finals of the women's football tournament at Paris 2024 thanks to an outstanding performance from Marie-Antoinette Katoto, while Korbin Albert got on the scoresheet for the United States. However, Clare Hunt and Jennifer Echegini were eliminated with Australia and Nigeria respectively.

KATOTO SENDS LES BLEUES INTO THE QUARTERS

The Paris striker was on fire again as she scored two goals for Les Bleues, the second of which was set up by Sakina Karchaoui. Following Colombia's loss to Canada, France finished top of their group and will now face Brazil at 21:00 CET this Saturday.

Korbin Albert scored the United States' second goal on Wednesday evening to propel her side to top spot in Group B, with the Americans now set to meet Japan in the quarter-finals at 15:00 CET on Saturday at the Parc des Princes!

As for Clare Hunt's Australia, the Matildas came third in Group B but failed to make it through to the quarter-finals as Colombia and Brazil ended up as the two best third-placed teams.
