The match officials for Leeds United’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Hull City on Saturday have been announced, with Anthony Backhouse set to take charge at the MKM Stadium.
The Cumbria-based official began his refereeing journey aged just 14 in the Carlisle Youth Leagues, progressing his way through the non-league circuit and has made 26 appearances to date in the Sky Bet Championship.
Twelve of those matches have come this term, with Backhouse also featuring in League One, League Two and the EFL Cup.
The Select Group 2 referee took charge of the Whites’ 2-1 victory over Watford at Elland Road in October, after also overseeing an EFL Cup clash with Middlesbrough earlier in the season. Those fixtures remain the only two to involve Backhouse.
Hull City, meanwhile, have played in five matches refereed by the official, winning four times and drawing once.
Backhouse’s previous visit to the MKM Stadium came as the Tigers were held to a 1-1 draw with Portsmouth back in November.
