According to an update from Real Madrid Confidencial, if Gonzalo Garcia keeps up his current form, it could mean Endrick’s time at Real Madrid comes to an early end.
The FIFA Club World Cup has been an exciting tournament for Los Blancos, even with injuries and absences forcing Xabi Alonso to rotate his squad.
Garcia has taken full advantage of this opportunity, showing his talent and proving he can be a difference-maker for the team.
His performances have surprised many, including the coaching staff, and have put serious pressure on Endrick’s future at the club.
There is little Real Madrid can do
Despite Alonso publicly backing Endrick in the past and saying he would have an important role, things have not gone according to plan for the young Brazilian.
A serious injury near the end of the season meant he could not play a single minute at the Club World Cup. Meanwhile, Garcia seized the moment, making the most of his chances and impressing with his goals and movement.

His emergence has created a difficult situation for Real Madrid, who now have two top young talents competing for limited minutes in the squad.
The situation is even more complicated because Real Madrid already have Kylian Mbappe locked in as the first-choice forward. That leaves just one spot open for two players with world-class potential.
Garcia’s fantastic form has put him in pole position to become Mbappe’s main backup. If he continues like this, it will be very hard for Endrick to earn a place next season.
Alonso’s faith in young players has been clear, but he knows he needs to make a quick decision to avoid problems down the road.
Lastly, choosing between Endrick and Garcia will not be easy, especially since both players have the talent to be future stars.
For now, what is clear is that Alonso has a big decision to make, considering neither Garcia nor Endrick have a lack of market demand.
