The 2027 UEFA Europa League showpiece will be held at Deutsche Bank Park.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s Deutsche Bank Park will host the final of the UEFA Europa League in 2027. The Eagles have had a special bond with the Europa League in recent years – a competition that always seems to generate more enthusiasm in and around Frankfurt than at any other club. Having come out on top against Bucharest and Glasgow in the selection process, Frankfurt can now look forward to hosting a major final at Deutsche Bank Park – right in the heart of Europe. The 2026 Europa League final will be held in Istanbul.

Frankfurt expecting major spectacle

Given the enormous media interest in the final, the game in Frankfurt is once again expected to attract huge viewing figures domestically and internationally. Eintracht’s clash with Rangers in Seville in May 2022 was watched by over 30 million people worldwide, while there were also countless newspaper, online and TV reports leading up to and in the aftermath of the final.

“The decision is a boost for Frankfurt,” said Mike Josef, mayor of Frankfurt am Main. “When Eintracht won the Europa League, we cheered the team on and celebrated with them night after night. Frankfurt is a sporting city with charisma, UEFA has made an excellent decision and Frankfurt will honour their trust. Football will bring people together once again and we’re keeping our fingers crossed for Eintracht.”

Clear commitment to UEFA

Axel Hellmann, CEO of Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG, added: “Eintracht Frankfurt and the entire region are delighted. The timing around the club’s 125th anniversary couldn’t be better. We’d like to thank UEFA for the decision, as well as the DFB for their support and the official submission of our bid. From our point of view, this is a very clear commitment to UEFA’s European competitions, which are particularly special for Frankfurt and Eintracht fans. We can also confidently claim to have contributed to the appeal of the Europa League. Europe and Frankfurt simply belong together.”
