Hans Nicolussi Caviglia is set to join Fiorentina as the Tuscans have reached an agreement with Serie B side Venezia.

Former Juventus midfielder Nicolussi Caviglia is set to join Fiorentina from Venezia.

Sources with direct knowledge of the matter tell me that Fiorentina and Venezia will exchange documents and allow the midfielder to have his medical tests after a new round of talks this morning.

Fiorentina will pay €1m for a one-season loan deal with an option to buy for €7m.

Fiorentina’s option to buy will become an obligation to purchase if the 25-year-old makes at least 50% of the team’s appearances this season.

Nicolussi Caviglia has collected 58 Serie A appearances with Juventus, Salernitana and Venezia.

Last season, he netted four goals and provided three assists in 35 league games with the Lagunari.

Fiorentina started the new season with a 1-1 away draw at Cagliari in Serie A, but have qualified for the league phase of the Conference League with a 6-2 aggregate win over Polissya Zhytomyr.
