Exclusive: Napoli seal deal for Gutierrez, medicals set for after training camp | OneFootball

Miguel Gutierrez has, for days now, been a Napoli player.

We can add a few important details from the last few hours: after reaching an agreement with Girona, the Azzurri have also settled matters with the new agents representing the left-back.

There had been much talk of inserting a release clause a couple of years after his arrival in Naples but for the moment there has been no need for such an arrangement.

Most importantly, all the final agreements have been reached, to the point that Gutierrez is ready to land in Italy for his medical tests – likely in a few days, after the conclusion of the training camp in Castel di Sangro.

Gutierrez heads for Napoli

Miguel Gutierrez had a strong season for La Liga side Girona in 2024-25, providing five assists in 29 league games for the Catalan club. Additionally, the Spaniard played in six matches in the Champions League, scoring once.

The 24-year-old joined Girona from Real Madrid in 2022 and has starred in 111 matches in all competitions for the club since then.
