Former Premier League defender Zat Knight has admitted he wouldn’t like to defend against Cole Palmer and labelled him as devastating.
Chelsea have so much attacking quality and added Joao Felix, Jadon Sancho and Pedro Neto to their ranks over the summer.
Nigel Reo-Coker described Chelsea’s attacking power as scary, and the Blues haven’t struggled to find the back of the net this season, and are joint second highest scorers in the league.
Despite the likes of Neto, Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson stepping up, Palmer still remains Chelsea’s main attacking threat.
The 22-year-old scored his eighth league goal of the campaign against Villa and is the club’s joint highest scorer in the league alongside Jackson.
The England international is still integral to how Chelsea play, and he’s thrived in a more central position under Enzo Maresca, although Gabriele Marcotti believes Palmer is no longer carrying the Blues.

Palmer has picked up where he left off last season and as well as his eight goals he also has six assists to his name, with former Premier League defender Knight saying he wouldn’t have liked to come against the Englishman.
“I wouldn’t like to defend him! I mean, back in my day I played against some fast players, some tricky players, but he looks devastating. He can go left, he can go right and, at the moment, he’s on cloud nine,” he told ESPN.
Palmer picked up another award this week and is showing no signs of slowing down despite the increased attention on him from opposition players.

With a hectic Christmas period coming up it will be interesting to see how Maresca uses Palmer and whether he decides to rotate him at all given the options available.
Palmer will likely start in Wednesday night’s game against Southampton where he will be looking to add to his goal tally before a huge game against Tottenham on Sunday.
