The 56-year-old has forged an incredible bond with the adoring Anfield public, and he takes his leave as one of the most beloved figures in the club’s history.

Liverpool fans are feeling something similar to what Borussia Dortmund fans experienced back in 2015 when he left Signal Iduna Park.

Klopp was in charge between 2008 and 2015, winning two Bundesliga titles and a DFB Pokal (German cup) among other honours during his days in charge.

Although Klopp’s time in charge ended on a low ebb, he is widely revered as a club icon and has even been suggested as a potential club president further down the line.

This week anecdotes are being given about Klopp as he heads towards his sabbatical and one of his Dortmund players has shared a hilarious one.

Klopp's perfectly-timed FART

Kevin Prince-Boateng only played 10 matches for Dortmund back in 2008-09 season, during a loan spell from Tottenham Hotspur.

Kevin-Prince Boateng tells a Jürgen Klopp anecdote: "One time I got new shoes. They were green, frog colored. He walked past me and farted and said: 'Wow, those shoes are cool, they even make a noise!'" byu/Hic_Forum_Est insoccer

The Ghana international’s time on the field was cut short due to a four-match ban which followed a horror challenge on Wolfsburg’s Makoto Hasebe and BVB couldn't afford the option to sign him on a permanent basis.

However, despite his brief time at the Westfalenstadion, Klopp still managed to make a rather shocking impression on the playmaker.

Klopp has been renowned for his wide smile and deep laugh, and it’s good to hear that his unique sense of humour has remained intact since his Dortmund days.
