Everton are looking to Serie A for a winger, including Verona’s Jackson Tchatchoua, but if they go for Jesper Lindstrom, then Napoli could challenge Lazio and Juventus for Mason Greenwood.

The transfer market can have a domino effect and another one might be getting put into place.

According to Sportitalia, the Toffees are still in talks with Verona for Cameroon international right-back Tchatchoua, but the asking price is €10m.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano maintains the real target for Everton is in fact Lindstrom, who can play on the right or left wing, as well as a creative midfielder.

The Denmark international was signed by Napoli in a huge €30m deal from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer, but proved a total disaster.

Albeit under a series of coaches in their traumatic post-Scudetto campaign, the 24-year-old made just 29 appearances in all competition, failing to contribute to a single goal.

Lindstrom tended to look rather lost at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, unsure what position to take or how to approach the game in an admittedly chaotic situation for the whole squad.

Olympique Lyonnais are also tracking Lindstrom, who could be allowed to leave on loan with an option to buy for around €25m.

Lindstrom to Everton brings Napoli in for Greenwood

If Napoli can sell Lindstrom, it’d open them up to pursuing Greenwood as a replacement.

Sky Sport Italia maintain that Napoli approached the Manchester United outcast and tried to convince him of their project under Antonio Conte.

Greenwood is also linked with Lazio and Juventus, as while Olympique Marseille agreed a fee with Manchester United for €27.6m plus €4m in add-ons and up to 50 per cent of the future sale, he is keeping the club waiting.

It is also because the Mayor of Marseille and many fans have started a campaign to block his transfer over domestic abuse charges.
