Everton have reiterated to fans that their new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock will not be ready in time for the start of the 2024/25 season.

Construction of the 52,888-seater ground on the waterfront continues apace with all four stands and the roof almost finished.

Everton’s current ground, Goodison Park, has been their home since 1896, but next season will not be their last at the old stadium.

“A presentation given to FAB was shared with the Forum on the new stadium,” Everton stated.

“Progress on the build remains good but [the] club stress completion is during 2024, not in time for 2024/25 season.

“Discussions around a mid-season move vs end-of-season move will be made if necessary once a completion date is known. Test events will be a requirement but provides opportunities to engage fans.”

Everton avoided relegation to the Championship on the final day of last season, beating Bournemouth 1-0.
