Australian winger Hayley Raso is leaving Tottenham after completing a deal with German side Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 30-year-old departs after spending just one season in north London, after arriving from Real Madrid last summer.
Raso made a promising start to life at Tottenham by scoring on her debut against Crystal Palace.
However, that would be her only goal for the club, as she endured a difficult season for a Tottenham side that finished 11th in the standings.
She made 16 appearances in total, 13 of which were in the Women’s Super League.
The Athletic reported last month that new signing Eintracht Frankfurt signing Hayley Raso was in talks to sign with Benfica.
A move to the Portuguese giants appeared likely at first, following her difficult spell at Tottenham.
However, it was revealed on Wednesday that a move to Benfica had fallen through, and it appeared that she might stay at Tottenham.
Raso, though, has found a new club in Eintracht Frankfurt, which will be her fifth club in the last seasons.
Before spells at Tottenham and Real Madrid, she also played for WSL sides Everton and Manchester City.
For Australia, she is just one cap away from a century, scoring 22 goals in 99 appearances.
The transfer window for the Women’s Super League closes on Thursday, September 4th.
Tottenham have been the quietest side out of any in the WSL when it comes to signings this summer.
The only addition they have brought in is Japanese defender Toka Koga from Feyenoord.
Martin Ho will be looking to add to his side to improve their chances of finishing higher than the 11th that they did last season under Robert Vilahamn.
Despite this, Tottenham defender Charli Grant said the club is “ready to be respected” this season.
Highlighting their 4-3 pre-season win over Arsenal, she added: “The mood is really good, and I think that win against Arsenal was really good for the confidence and for the belief going into the upcoming season, especially after a tough season last year.
“I think we’re making really great steps, and the intensity has lifted a big amount. So, I’m really loving pre-season so far.”
Tottenham start the season on Sunday, September 7th against West Ham.
