AC Milan have once again picked up the phone and dialled Chelsea in their time of need, with negotiations reportedly ongoing over two players.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the name that the Milan management like a lot is that of Romelu Lukaku, who returned to Chelsea after his loan at Roma but who is not part of Enzo Maresca’s plans for next season and is therefore destined to leave.

Milan are continuing the dialogue with Chelsea to try and work something out but the operation for the Belgian striker will not be a quick one to complete, especially so early on in the summer.

The Rossoneri know that Lukaku is on the list of departures and they are pushing to try to take him on favourite terms, but for the time being the Blues are standing firm on the idea of recouping a sizeable fee.

However, Lukaku is not the only name being discussed. Milan have Carney Chukwuemeka among their targets and is working to convince the London club to open up to a loan formula.

They are proposing various options for it to turn into a permanent deal, too. Work is in progress on the Milan-Chelsea axis again, with Geoffrey Moncada trying to do a double deal to strengthen Fonseca’s squad.
